About Pip Value

A pip (percentage in point) is the smallest price move that a currency pair can make. The pip value depends on:

  • Currency Pair: Different pairs have different pip values
  • Lot Size: Larger lots mean higher pip values
  • Account Currency: The currency your account is denominated in

Note: For JPY pairs, 1 pip = 0.01. For all other pairs, 1 pip = 0.0001.
