A pip (Percentage in Point) is the smallest price movement in a currency pair. For most currency pairs, a pip is 0.0001 (1/100th of a percent). For JPY pairs, a pip is 0.01. For example, if EUR/USD moves from 1.1000 to 1.1001, that's a 1 pip movement. Pips are used to measure price changes and calculate profits/losses.

A spread is the difference between the bid (sell) price and the ask (buy) price of a currency pair. It represents the broker's commission. For example, if EUR/USD has a bid of 1.1000 and an ask of 1.1002, the spread is 2 pips. Tighter spreads mean lower trading costs. Our spreads start from 0.1 pips on ECN accounts and 0.5 pips on Diamond accounts.

Margin is the amount of money required in your account to open and maintain a trading position. It's a form of collateral. For example, with 1:100 leverage, you need $1,000 margin to control a $100,000 position. Margin requirements vary by instrument and leverage. Use our Margin Calculator to calculate margin requirements for your trades.

Stop Loss: An order that automatically closes your position at a predetermined price to limit losses. For example, if you buy EUR/USD at 1.1000, you might set a stop loss at 1.0980 to limit potential loss to 20 pips.

Take Profit: An order that automatically closes your position at a predetermined price to secure profits. Using the same example, you might set a take profit at 1.1050 to lock in a 50 pip profit. Both orders help manage risk and protect your capital.

The forex market is closed on weekends (Saturday and Sunday). Trading hours are typically Monday 00:00 GMT to Friday 22:00 GMT. However, cryptocurrency markets trade 24/7, so you can trade cryptocurrencies on weekends. Keep in mind that lower liquidity on weekends can result in wider spreads for some instruments.

Slippage occurs when your order is executed at a different price than expected, usually during high volatility or low liquidity periods. For example, if you place a market order to buy EUR/USD at 1.1000 but it executes at 1.1002, you've experienced 2 pips of slippage. We use advanced technology to minimize slippage, with average execution speeds under 50ms.

Swap (also called rollover or overnight interest) is the interest paid or earned for holding a position overnight. It's based on the interest rate differential between the two currencies in a pair. If you hold a position past the rollover time (usually 00:00 GMT), you'll either pay or receive swap. Islamic accounts are swap-free, meaning no swap charges are applied.

To verify your account, you need to submit identification documents (KYC - Know Your Customer). Typically required documents include: a government-issued ID (passport, driver's license, or national ID), proof of address (utility bill or bank statement less than 3 months old), and sometimes a selfie holding your ID. Upload these documents through your client portal. Verification is usually completed within 24-48 hours.

Market Order: Executes immediately at the current market price. Used when you want to enter or exit a position right away.

  • Buy Limit: Buy when price falls to a specified level

  • Buy Stop: Buy when price rises to a specified level
  • Sell Stop: Sell when price falls to a specified level

The minimum lot size is 0.01 lots (micro lot) across all account types. This equals 1,000 units of the base currency. For example, 0.01 lots of EUR/USD = 1,000 EUR. This allows traders with smaller accounts to participate in the market while maintaining proper risk management.

Hedging is opening a position that offsets the risk of another position.
